- Angry Birds. “Even the pigs would like the birds. But they lack the thumbs to do so…” Haha. Hilarious! While their landing page isn’t as interactive as some others on this list, it doesn’t have to be because they provide enough reason for liking them. A bit of tounge-n-cheek also doesn’t do them any harm.
- The Fresh Diet. Simple and elegant. After liking them, another page appears featuring the promised exclusive offer.
- Brendan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant. Top notch landing page! Users can make reservations, see what’s on the menu and even get directions to the pub. Awesome!
- BeautyChoice.com has another one of those simple yet elegant landing pages. They do a terrific job explaining what they are about and why should one like their page.
- ShopAtHome.com‘s Facebook welcome page is a good example. Call-to-action – check. Exclusive offers – check. Beautiful design – check. Just see what pops up when you like the page.
- Clarisonic - beautiful design, call-to-action, content, links to their blog, important numbers about their key products.
- Liverpool FC - another football club with a great landing page. Terrific and well-thought out design with their club’s captain, Steven Gerrard, pointing his finger towards the like button.
- Porsche has a lot of content on their welcome page – polls, links to Porsche applications, videos, accessories store. Users can also design and build their own Porsche and send them to a friend.

Mark, I also noticed that your current landing page doesn’t have a secure SSL certificate attatched to it which is required by Facebook. Since October 1st FB isn’t displaying unsecure landing pages.
How to fix this: either your landing page isn’t hosted on a SSL certificate server (which means you will have to buy a certificate) or you haven’t added an “s” after “http” on the application dashboard.
May you like this page too and add it in the overview.

How do you go about creating one of these landing pages? Is it an AP? I can do the graphic design no problem, but don’t have a clue how to implement it into Facebook.
@JB we host our Welcome page on PHP hosting — it contains script to detect if user ‘likes’ us or not when pulled within Facebook.
To show up within a Facebook page, you’ll need to create a Facebook App (https://developers.facebook.com/apps/) and point canvas/site URLs there.

I have read SO many articles on social media, bookmarked countless numbers of pages, and have used up reams of paper, as well as lots & lots of ink, printing out my findings.
Then, I found DreamGrow!
Now I can happily delete all the bookmarks and use all the money I save on printing to go on a much needed vacation.

I love these, but I wonder if FB users will balk at something too different than the facebook norm. this seemed to happen with MySpace.
