5 Tips on Getting More Traffic To Your Site

Web Traffic 300x214 5 Tips on Getting More Traffic To Your SiteToday, people can market their product to millions of people all over the world by activating an online marketing campaign.  That’s the good news.  The challenge is that solid online marketing does take time.  The days of keyword stuffing and hacking SEO tricks are mostly over.  Google is super smart, and they will only get smarter.  In this article, we are going to discuss 5 tips on how to get more traffic to your website.  Remember, it takes time.  But if you stick to it, results will be evident month by month, and after a year, your site will be attracting serious traction.

Original Content

Become The Authority

The beautiful thing about the internet is that it is an equal opportunity space.  If you have mastery over a specific subject matter and you begin to create content and make it available on your website, it will gain web traffic as Google recognized it over time.  It’s difficult to build a strong web traffic presence if the material is lackluster.  Build a strong foundation by becoming the voice of authority concerning your business and service.  This will be the foundation that allows your web traffic to consistently and organically grow over time.

Guest Posts

First, begin visiting websites that relate to yours and begin making honest, valuable comments on articles.  Become known on the site.  Then, after 1 or 2 months, contact the site administrator with a Guest Post idea for their website and pitch them.  If you have been a regular contributor in comments to the website, then chances are high they will consider publishing your guest post.  This can lead to dramatic increases in web traffic as people visit your site from the guest post.  This is also why incredible content is so important—once these new visitors visit your site once, your material needs to be engaging enough that they stay.  Never forget the fundamentals.

Video Content

Google/Facebook Ads

Running a marketing campaign via Google and Facebook ads is a great idea because you can experiment for minimal cost in order to determine whether it will work.  Start out by buying a few pay-per-click ads on both Google and Facebook to see what the return is.  If you sell a product for $100 and you spend $50 in marketing and sell 1 product through your merchant accounts, you may have a gold mine on your hands.  Not to mention all the additional web traffic that is being built up.

Remember to always follow the fundamentals—have a great product or service and create consistent, original content for your website.  If you do that and follow these online marketing tips, your web traffic will grow substantially over time.

Video. Something I am trying to get MUCH more involved with. I suppose the most daunting aspect is simply the fact that most topics have already been covered – so actually putting up original video becomes a real challenge.

I am glad to see the mention of Google and Facebook paid media in this traffic-building mix. However, I think that it would be appropriate to include other options as well. Besides the two that you mention, it would be savvy to include Twitter Ads and Reachli (a Pinterest marketing platform). All four of these platforms provide free credits to first time users. Doesn’t that sound great for testing which platform(s) provide the best bang for your buck?

The better the content the better will be your chance of getting more readers. Along with use of video content, infographic content will be an added advantage for getting higher rank and more traffic. One thing that you have not mentioned here is building of backlinking for getting a good rank in search engines as part of your campaign.
