How Businesses Use Facebook

A new survey from SiliconCloud shows that most businesses have a Facebook business page. Here are the main points from the survey:
- 77% business surveyed have a Facebook page
- 47% of the respondents are active in B2C market
- About half of businesses report that more than 6% of leads come from social media
- The practitioners are most (2/3) interested in finding new ways to promote their Facebook page
Most of the businesses use Facebook as a marketing channel (whatever that means) or place to publish new content. The thing in what Facebook would really be good at is customer feedback but not many companies use that. Branding, engagement, brand advocacy are not mentioned.
About half of the businesses update their Facebook page daily. Most businesses spend 0-30 minutes per day on Facebook. Companies that generates the most leads from Facebook spend more than 2 hours per day on Facebook. Work more, get more results! Who would have thought! These marketers are most interested in learning about Facebook Ads and strategies to promote their page.
So, spend more time on Facebook and you get more business.
