How To Promote Your Photography Business With Pinterest

If there’s one thing that any company is after it’s more customers. There are so many different ways to market a business these days and the internet is one of the best ways to do it. With the rise in many different social networks, businesses have the unique opportunity to tap into these pools of potential customers and make some noise.

One of the easiest social networks to promote your company on right now is Pinterest. Not only is this network one of the largest and fastest growing social networks on the internet, it’s also one of the easiest to get traffic from. Let me tell you how to get all this easy traffic from Pinterest and how you should engage your company on it.

First thing

The first thing you need to do is get an invite for your company email that you’re going to use. You can invite yourself if you already have a personal account, or you can ask a friend.

Once you have an invite and are all set up to get started, don’t make the common mistake other businesses do of just pinning every single product they have. However, since you’re a wedding photographer, your “products” are just the kind of thing people are looking for on Pinterest, if you do it right.

With the Pinterest crowd the content you share has to be different than the kind of content you would share on Facebook and Twitter. Pinterest people want simple, step-by-step solutions to make amazing and unique things. They are also after anything that just looks unique, mainly so they can learn how to replicate it.

Tricks

With wedding photography, you have the perfect niche where you can pin photos that you have taken, that will give others ideas of how they can make their wedding amazing. The trick is to not try and promote your company name on Pinterest. You want to pin things that others will want to re-pin and like. The other important trick is the size of the images you share. They need to be between 500 and 2,500 pixels so that when someone clicks on it to take a closer look, they will have to click again and go to your site to see the image up close. This is how you can easily get a ton of traffic to your site.

Using these tricks can bring huge amounts of traffic to your website, if done correctly. Just remember that the idea is to build up your brand by not promoting it. You have to promote and pin stuff that people are looking for. You want to pin things that will really help them out. Doing this, combined with the other trick will bring a lot of people to your website.
