Nice post. I am always looking for cool apps. The problem is at some point it is just eaiser to do custom tabs if you manage many different pages.
Sure Christine. We do all our clients pages with custom programming and design. But for many people it’s an easy way to get some life to their one Facebook page.
Great post. I will definitely try these. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the TabSite mention! We try to make it easy for agencies to create and manage multiple clients custom page tabs.
In our manager you can simply choose the fan page to manage and the custom tabs for that one are yours to work on. You can also give client access to their tabs if you wish.
I haven’t had a chance to mess around with it yet but http://www.wp4fb.com/ looks promising.
As far as I can gather it’s free, you just need to give them an email for a download link.

Great Topic. I am working a new landing page now.
Cool! Landing pages really help.
Great post! Thanks for the resources!
I like Pagemodo and Tabsite – but I hate the ad they place at the bottom, and you can’t transfer the account to a client after you have customized the pages…. any other recommendations?
Hi Cindy. With any TabSite paid plan you can remove all footer banners and you can transfer ownership of the Account to a client.
Hope that helps clarify.

This is a great article, and a nice list of options. I have used Hy.Ly in the past. They allow you over 5,000 likes and the tools are pretty cool. The degree of use on the CMS is very easy as well. Check them out!
I don’t really like welcome pages. I just wanna get to the wall or the company’s info. I kinda thought of them as flash intros to their website. Have you tracked and seen that people actually like them? Or they just have to go through it to get to the page?
Ellen, it depends on what you put on the landing page. If it’s self-serving BS then you are right. However if it explains and gives value then it can boost joining ratest 2, 3 or even more times compared to directing people to the wall.
I thought ‘landing’ pages were to become obsolete once the new Timeline kicks in at the end of this month? We can still have tabs for things but not as landing pages.
That’s right. The same applications still have their purpose, even though we might change how we call these applications.

brilliant information – really good – but I was looking for a system that asks for the email to connect and not like and then keeps it
I have seen it done but they are all really expensive…do you or anyone else know of one that works?
Tchnically it shouldn’t be very difficult. Basically you are logging in with your email. However you would need a confirmation email as otherwise people could use the system with any email address.
Nice post. I am always looking for cool apps. The problem is at some point it is just eaiser to do custom tabs if you manage many different pages.
Pagemodo is cool, but it doesn’t allow us to transfer the page to our clients.
